Prime Minister and Mr. Al-Hakim stress taking measures related to combating corruption

Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani and the head of the National Wisdom Movement, Mr. Ammar Al-Hakim, stressed today, Friday, the need to take measures related to combating corruption.

A statement by Mr. Al-Hakim, received by the (INA), quoted him as saying: “We received Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, and we discussed the developments of the political scene in Iraq and the region and the nature of the upcoming entitlements, and we blessed the recent military operation that eliminated many leaders of the terrorist ISIS, which was titled (The Lion’s Leap).”
Mr. Al-Hakim and the Prime Minister stressed, “Taking all measures related to combating corruption, pursuing the corrupt, and recovering funds,” and they also stressed, “Respecting the judiciary and respecting its outcomes as it is the cornerstone of the Iraqi equation.”
He added, “The importance of strategic solutions to diversify sources of income and leave the rentier state was emphasized.”
Regarding the developments in Gaza, we said: “The war must be stopped immediately and the Palestinian people must be saved from the Israeli killing machine, which does not differentiate between young and old, women and men.”
