In Sudan, there have been intense protests across the country against the coup following the resignation of Prime Minister Hamdok.
As the country continues to be in turmoil following the resignation of Sudanese Prime Minister Hamdok earlier this week, people in the country today took to the streets of the capital, Khartoum, to protest against the coup.
On October 25 last year, Prime Minister Abdallah Hamdok was ousted by a military coup and reinstated a month later following a deal with the military to quell tensions and anti-coup protests in the country.
But Hamdock resigned on Sunday amid political turmoil following a lack of compromise between the ruling generals and the pro-democracy movement. Since then, security forces have fired tear gas to disperse protests in several parts of the capital, including the area around the presidential palace in the country.
