A change in mindset is essential for development. Governments that ruled India so far thought that all things could be done only by the government. This stifled the capacity of the country and did not help the private sector to grow. Previous governments in the mood to avoid problems ran the manufacturing sector with subsidies. Due to this, the manufacturing sector suffered losses.
