Prime Minister Modi bids farewell to retiring Rajya Sabha MPs, praises former PM Manmohan Singh’s contribution

New Delhi: The tenure of 68 Rajya Sabha MPs ends between February and May. On this occasion, Prime Minister Modi congratulated them and spoke to bid them farewell.

Mr. Modi highly praised the contribution of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. At that time, “Manmohan Singh came to the Rajya Sabha sitting in a wheelchair to cast his vote and helped the strength of democracy,” he said.

Manmohan Singh was the Prime Minister of India for 10 years from 2004 to 2014. It is noteworthy that he was selected as Rajya Sabha MP six times.
