Samarkand: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in Uzbekistan to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Summit. It is reported that the Prime Minister will hold talks with seven world leaders, including Russian President Vladimir Putin, on international and bilateral issues.

The summit will be held in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. The stage is set for a face-to-face meeting of world leaders who are members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization after two years in the backdrop of the Covid pandemic. Apart from India and Russia, the other countries in the organization are China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Pakistan.
