Prime Minister Modi has said that the country is watching the game of badminton after India won the Thomas Cup.

The Indian men’s team won the gold medal by defeating the 14 – time champions Indonesia at the Thomas Cup Badminton Tournament in Bangkok, Thailand.

Prime Minister Modi had telephoned to congratulate the historic Indian team.

In this context, the Indian badminton players met Prime Minister Modi in Delhi today.

Similarly, Indian women’s badminton players who won the Uber Cup also met the Prime Minister.

Speaking then, the Prime Minister said that what you have done is not a small achievement. He also congratulated the entire team on behalf of the nation.

Speaking at the event, Indian badminton player Kidambi Srikanth said, “No other player in the world can be so proud of this. I can say with great pride that we only had the privilege of speaking to you as soon as we won. Thank you so much for this.”
