Warangal, Telangana – Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Telangana on Saturday to partake in official programs, including the foundation-laying ceremony for several developmental initiatives in the state. However, Telangana Chief Minister KCR failed to attend the Prime Minister’s official events, as he has consistently violated protocol since September 2021 for political reasons.

After the official programs, Modi also attended a political gathering organized by his party, where he addressed a large crowd of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) supporters in Warangal. During his speech, the Prime Minister made serious allegations of corruption, dynastic rule, Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) question paper leaks, and more against KCR and the BRS government.

The allegations made by the Prime Minister hold significant weight, as they were made by none other than the leader of the nation. KCR is obligated to respond to these allegations, but instead of addressing them directly, he assigned the task of formulating a fitting reply to his son KTR, nephew Harish Rao, other ministers, party MPs, MLAs, and MLCs.

In contrast, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, who faced similar allegations from Modi, responded strongly and provided a robust counter in defense of himself and his government. However, KCR chose not to mention Modi by name or condemn the allegations during a meeting at Telangana Bhavan on Saturday evening, where he spoke to party leaders and workers from Maharashtra for about an hour.

This lack of response from the Chief Minister has sparked a debate in political circles regarding the stature and importance given to the Prime Minister’s allegations. Some question whether the Prime Minister’s position is lower than that of the Chief Minister, considering the lack of response from KCR. It raises doubts about whether KCR perceives PM Modi’s stature to be inferior to his own in terms of the need for a response.

Regardless, KCR has continued to consistently avoid the Prime Minister’s official programs, raising concerns over his reluctance to engage with the allegations made by PM Modi in public. While further developments on this matter are awaited, the absence of a response from the Chief Minister has left many speculating about the dynamics between the two leaders and the significance they attribute to each other’s positions.
