Neve Ativ, Golan Heights – Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife are set to return to Neve Ativ tomorrow for a well-deserved vacation, despite the turbulence that ensued during their previous visit. The couple will be staying at the same hotel they occupied a month and a half ago. In order to ensure their safety, security considerations have led to the closure of the Golan’s northern road through the Moshav during their stay.

The announcement has not been well received by protestors who voiced their concerns through a petition, demanding the cancellation of the Prime Minister’s vacation. The High Court has granted permission for demonstrators to gather in Neve Ativ, allowing them an opportunity to voice their opinions directly to Netanyahu.

Approximately two weeks ago, the settlement’s secretariat sent a letter to the Prime Minister’s office, urging him to reconsider his vacation plans. Highlighting the previous disruptions caused by the Prime Minister’s visit, they emphasized the need for sensitivity towards the citizens who have suffered significant damages during his previous stay.

“It is important to emphasize that any scenario will violate the routine of life in Moshav, so we will try to find the balance and reduce the consequences. Closing gates and restricting traffic will cause enormous damage to freedom of movement and tourism,” stated the settlement’s secretariat.

During their previous visit, numerous demonstrators rallied against Netanyahu’s leadership and the legal revolution, causing inconvenience to the local residents. One resident expressed their fear, stating, “The last time they stayed here, our lives were completely disrupted. There was unbearable noise and heavy security. Our tourism and livelihood suffered greatly. We expected more consideration this time, and we won’t stay silent.”

Protest organizations in the northern region have already called upon demonstrators to gather in “Neve Rodan” during Hol HaMoed, urging them to visit the various B&Bs and other accommodations in the North. The organizers are determined to make their voices heard and demonstrate their objections against Netanyahu’s presence.

As the Prime Minister and his wife prepare for their vacation, tension in Neve Ativ rises. Their return comes amidst ongoing protests, where demonstrators hope to convey their dissatisfaction with the current political climate and the impact it has had on the local community.

Only time will tell how these events unfold, as both Netanyahu’s supporters and opponents gear up for what could potentially become a pivotal moment in the ongoing discourse surrounding his leadership.
