Australia’s Prime Minister Scott Morrison has been defeated in an election, with Labor leader Anthony Albany in power, according to state media.
The ruling Liberal National Alliance won only 51 seats in Australia’s 151 – seat parliament.
With the opposition Labor Party winning 72 seats, the party needs a majority of 4 seats. In this regard, Scott Morrison has congratulated Anthony Albany and his new government.
