(24News) Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif ordered to ensure uninterrupted supply of gas to domestic consumers in winter.
A review meeting regarding gas supply in the country was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, in which Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Ahad Khan Cheema, Federal Minister for Petroleum Dr. Mossadegh Malik and relevant senior government officials participated.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister was told in the briefing that there is surplus RLNG in the system due to which the gas load management has improved compared to last year, the period of gas load shedding is less this year compared to last year, domestic consumers. Gas is being supplied from 5 am to 10 pm.
In the briefing, it was informed that the power sector is also being supplied with gas according to the demand, online dashboards of SNGPL and SSGC are functioning regarding consumer complaints, SNGPL’s Complaint resolution rate is 93% while SSGC’s rate is 79%, all gas fields in the country are operational.
In the meeting, the Prime Minister took notice of the complaints of reduction in gas supply to domestic consumers and directed that uninterrupted supply of gas to domestic consumers should be ensured immediately.
The Prime Minister further said that reforms should be brought in the structure of the system so that this problem can be solved permanently, the supply of gas to domestic consumers is the first priority of the government.
