In order to strengthen the BJP in southern states including Tamil Nadu, it seems that Prime Minister Modi is planning to transfer 12 ministers and engage them in party work. It has been reported that 12 new people will be included in the cabinet instead of them.

Elections to the Lok Sabha are due in May 2024. Prior to this, nine states, including Karnataka and Telangana, will hold assembly elections this year. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is reportedly planning to reshuffle his cabinet keeping these elections in mind.

It is said that Prime Minister Modi recently held a consultation with senior party leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah in this regard. BJP is making great progress in the states of Tamil Nadu and Telangana. Before the Lok Sabha elections, it is necessary to intensify the party work there so as to further strengthen the party here. Likewise, consultations are being held regarding the return to power in the Karnataka assembly elections.

Subsequently, it seems that Modi and Amit Shah have decided to engage the ministers from Tamil Nadu, Telangana and Karnataka in the central cabinet. Minister of State Murugan, who is already the president of Tamil Nadu BJP, is going to be involved in party work again. However, it is also said that Prime Minister Modi will decide on this.

Also, four Union Ministers and eight Union Ministers will be relieved of those responsibilities and will be sent to party work. Instead, 12 new members will be inducted into the cabinet.

In the recent Gujarat assembly elections, the BJP won a record victory. The main reason for this is considered to be state BJP leader CR. Patil’s appointment as Union Minister is certain. It seems that people from states like Telangana and Karnataka are also going to be given a chance in the central cabinet.

The budget session of Parliament is set to begin later this month. It looks like these changes will be made before then.
