Karlis Arnolds Avots stars as the warrior-poet Egil Skallagrímsson, Alina Tomnikov as shield-maiden Greta and the Seer, Sisse Marie as Queen Thyra, and Rune Temte as Gorm the Old, King of Denmark, in the sprawling ensemble cast. The supporting cast further includes Marc Rissmann, Kai Luke Brümmer, Arthur McBain, Mads Reuther, and Saku Taittonen.

Erik Bloodaxe views the crown rather differently than the chosen heir. The conflict extends far beyond domestic Norwegian borders, drawing in neighboring Scandinavian monarchs and English rulers as chaos consumes the kingdom.

As they fight for the throne of Norway, the land is torn apart by fierce rivals, shifting loyalties, and bloody betrayals. With war looming and chaos consuming the kingdom, drawing in the ruthless Kings of other Scandinavian countries, and even a powerful English ruler, the stage is set for a thundering, cataclysmic, compelling and utterly magical new Norse Saga.
