According to Tamil media, Sivakarthikeyan paid Rs 3 crore as compensation to the distributors. Apart from that, three crores have also been given to Sri Venkateswara Studios, the production company of the film.
Prince was released on October 21 last year. Released simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu, Prince tells the story of a love affair between an Indian boy and a British girl. Ukrainian actress Maria Ryaboshapka played the heroine in the movie. Prince is directed by Anudeep KV. Earlier, there were reports that the film earned around Rs 100 crore as pre-release business.
