Prince Hussein and Princess Rajwa of Jordan announce they are expecting their first child

A new royal is on the way! Prince Hussein of Jordan and his wife, Princess Rajwa, happily announced that they are expecting their first baby. Through a statement from the Royal Hashemite Court, the royal couple confirmed that their family is growing and it will be in the middle of this year when they will have their baby in their arms.

“The Hashemite Royal Court is pleased to announce that Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II and Princess Rajwa Al Hussein are expecting their first baby this summer,” the statement read. And in the most formal manner, they continue: “The Hashemite Royal Court extends its sincere congratulations to Their Majesties King Abdullah II and Queen Rania Al Abdullah on this occasion, and wishes Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Al Hussein and Princess Rajwa good health and joy in welcoming your baby.”

A dream wedding

After announcing their engagement in August 2022, last year, the Princes of Jordan celebrated their wedding in style in the gardens of Zahran Palace in a traditional Islamic ceremony known as katb ktab, followed by a grand party at Al Palace. Husseiniya attended by prominent personalities of international royalty. Among them were the Princes of Wales, Kate Middleton and Prince William; They were also attended by the princes of Denmark, Prince Frederik and Princess Mary. Members of Dutch royalty, King Willem-Alexander, Queen Máxima and Princess Catharina-Amalia, were also part of the 140 guests at the celebration.

In love and excited about a future together, Prince Hussein sent a tender message through Instagram to his now wife: “God has blessed me with Rajwa, the light of my life and my lifelong companion. May our marriage bring us both peace and warmth. I pray that God continues to bless us.”

He added: “Once again, my deepest thanks to everyone who celebrated with us from our beloved Jordan, as well as our families and loved ones around the world. I could not be more grateful to God for the countless blessings she has bestowed upon me today, and to Rajwa for all that she is to me.”
