Prince Charles appeared close to tears as he watched the many floral tributes and tributes left by the citizens for his father, Prince Philip, who passed away last week at the age of 99. Carlo, 72, accompanied by his wife Camilla, visited i private gardens of Marlborough House to St. James’s Palace, where flowers and messages placed in Buckingham Palace and other royal residences are brought every day. It was the first public appearance of the heir to the throne, after the death of the Duke of Edinburgh.


Filmed by the cameras, Carlo, in a dark suit and tie, together with Camilla, dressed in black, read some of the messages dedicated to his father and in some moments he appeared overwhelmed by grief. To attract the attention of the royal couple, in particular, a model of Land Rover with the words “The Duke rest in peace” written on the roof.

Although the royal family has asked citizens to make donations to charitable causes in memory of the Duke of Edinburgh instead of floral tributes, many preferred to remember Philip in a traditional way.
