In June, the sister of King Charles III was injured in the head in an incident with a horse. After her first appearances, Princess Anne is now withdrawing.

Does Princess Anne need more time to recover? Although the younger sister of King Charles III has already made a few public appearances since her horse accident at the end of June, several upcoming appointments have now been cancelled.

On Wednesday, the 73-year-old visited the 4th Battalion of Military Intelligence at Bulford Barracks in Salisbury, Wiltshire. But just one day later, her appointment at Brancaster Station in the north of Norfolk was cancelled at short notice. The National Coastwatch Institution (NCI), of which Princess Anne is patron, confirmed this to the “Norwich Evening News”.

The late Queen’s daughter was also unable to attend another event, a barbecue hosted by the London Scottish FC rugby club. “We regret to announce that Her Royal Highness Princess Anne will no longer be attending our pre-season BBQ on July 18th as she is slowly returning to her duties,” the club said in a post on its website.

Princess Anne’s trip to Scotland had already been cancelled. She was due to visit the lighthouse tender NLV Pharos there earlier this week. It is not known when the 73-year-old will fully return to her royal duties.

On June 24, Princess Anne was admitted to Southmead Hospital in Bristol after an accident. She had to be treated there for five days after sustaining a head injury on her estate in Gloucestershire. According to reports, she was kicked by a horse. On July 12, she made her first public appearance. At the event, the British princess revealed that she “can no longer remember” the accident herself.
