Princess Kate (41) is the style queen. But like any other woman, she cheats.
When Prince William’s wife (41) appears at public events, she is always an eye-catcher in her colorful clothes (like flowers and checks). Kate (1.75m tall) emphasizes her slim figure but without showing too much.
And Kate cheats too. This was recently reported by the British newspaper The Sun. How does the princess do it and what tricks does she use?
Underwear expert Laura Müller (31, runs the lingerie blog La Muel) from Munich took a close look for BILD.

“Not letting faith decide over anything”
Müller to BILD: “With Kate, everything is incredibly well done in her performances. Nothing is left to chance. She’s in great shape, but she’s still wearing shapewear with a high degree of certainty – underwear that keeps the body in shape. There are versions that form only slightly and some that form more. The basic rule of almost all stylists: For evening dresses that fit tighter, the thicker version is used!”
Example: Kate’s performance in the Solace London dress at the Earthshot Awards in Boston in December 2022. Müller: “In my opinion, Kate often wears a pair of full-length panties that go from the thighs to under the breasts or even have a bra integrated into them. As a result, there are no panty imprints on the buttocks. Price: from 80 euros. The body gets a beautiful silhouette and the bottom is slightly tightened. There are no visible dents or dents.”

What happened to the bra?
But it doesn’t always have to be such a big shapewear. A smaller version was probably used for Kate’s appearance at the British Film Awards in London in February.
Expert Müller: “The very high panties are not so comfortable. For this evening, Kate appears to be wearing a version that only hits the waist. The Alexander McQueen dress has a subdivision there, which ideally conceals the edge of the panties.”

What happened to the bra? Müller: “Apparently cups are sewn into the dress at the chest, so the bra can be left out and with it the straps. Kate is A or B cup, doesn’t need a lot of support. In Hollywood, the bowls would certainly still have a push-up effect, but Kate is reluctant to do so. She would also never use lift coverups – large skin-colored silicone stickers that lift the breasts.”

But the use of shapeware must be well planned. Example: The silver Phillipa Lepley dress worn by Kate to the Bahamas reception in March 2022.
“You have to be extremely careful with shiny outfits, because everything is much clearer there,” explains Müller. “Shapewear is best worn in your regular dress size. If it is too big, there is no slim effect. If it’s too tight, the skin oozes out at the edges and the underwear shows.”
Müller continues: “Many wear normal underwear under shapewear, but you shouldn’t do that on elegant occasions or very tight dresses. Despite such a complete suit, you can still go to the toilet without any problems. Those things are open in the crotch.”

To fix the décolleté, stylists use skin-colored adhesive strips. Müller: “I can’t remember anything slipping with Kate, for example you saw the adhesive strips. A sign of how perfectly their team works.”
The hard part about shapewear? You have to squeeze yourself in when getting dressed. And a princess has to do that just like any other woman.
