LONDRA. Princess Kate, wife of British Crown Prince William, has completed chemotherapy, which she began in February following a cancer diagnosis announced to the country in March amid widespread shock.
She announced it herself in a new video full of emotions and personal references, in which she admits that it has been an “incredibly hard” period.
Kate’s announcement that she is finishing chemotherapy represents an important step forward, but “at this stage we cannot yet say” that the princess is “cancer free”, cured of cancer.
Kensington Palace underlines this in statements taken by the BBC on the sidelines of the broadcast of the video message from Prince William’s wife herself. At the moment, a possible partial return to the monarchy’s public representation activities is expected “later” in the year: probably, the BBC reports, starting with the Remembrance Day ceremonies in memory of the fallen, in November.
