Hopeful news from the British royal family: Princess Kate continues her return to a normal working life – with concrete plans for the future.

Princess Kate’s gradual return to work continues to take shape. According to reports, this is the second meeting with palace officials at Windsor Castle – and this in just a week. The Princess of Wales is believed to have held a meeting on Tuesday to plan ahead for an event in December.

As the British newspaper “Daily Telegraph” reports, a court circular dated September 24th states: “The Princess of Wales, joint patron of the Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales, held a meeting at Windsor Castle this morning.”

The Court Circular is a daily record of the engagements of members of the royal family. The 42-year-old wife of heir to the throne Prince William is said to have called the meeting to speak to palace staff about her annual Christmas concert, which is usually held at Westminster Abbey in early December.

This gathering is Kate’s second official appointment since she announced the end of her chemotherapy treatment in a video message on September 9. At the time, she hinted at the possibility of hosting a concert, and now it seems those plans are moving forward.

The meeting on September 24 follows another at Windsor Castle on September 17, where she spoke to members of her organisation, the Centre for Early Years, and palace staff. The project is investigating “how experiences in early childhood are often at the root of the most serious social challenges of our time, such as addiction, family breakdown, poor mental health, suicide and homelessness,” the royal family’s official website says.

Kate will make two public appearances in 2024, the first at Trooping the Colour in mid-June and then at the Wimbledon men’s final on July 14.

Currently, the only event Kate “possibly” attends is a memorial service in support of the royal family, veterans and their families on November 10, followed by the Christmas concert due to take place the following month.
