Priscilla Presley Speaks Out on Relationship with Granddaughter Riley Keough
In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Priscilla Presley, former wife of rock ‘n’ roll legend Elvis Presley, put an end to rumors of a strained relationship between her and granddaughter Riley Keough. Riley, who is the daughter of Priscilla’s daughter Lisa Marie Presley, was recently named the sole heir of her mother’s estate.
Priscilla made it clear that there is no bad blood between her and Riley, stating that they have always been on good terms. “That was all publicity. This is private and this is not something to fool around with and say that we’re not agreeing,” she told The Hollywood Reporter.
In January, Priscilla disputed a 2016 amendment to her late daughter’s will, which named Riley, along with her half-sisters Harper and Finley Lockwood, as well as her late brother Benjamin, as the heirs to the estate. However, a judge ultimately approved Riley as the sole heir in early August.
To further emphasize their strong relationship, Priscilla revealed that she and Riley are planning to have dinner together. “In fact, I’m having dinner with [Riley] tonight. We understand what needs to be done. I’m there for her. She knows that. She wants me there for her to help her,” Priscilla shared.
