Actress Mamta Mohandas opened up about why she did not tell anyone when she was diagnosed with cancer. Mamta said that she came to the decision to open up after people started feeling sick when they saw her.
Mamta said that she removed her wig for the first time in the movie Anwar and Prithviraj and Amal Neerad were surprised to see her remove the wig. Mamta also said that it was because of their support that she was able to sing in the shot Hairlook in the song in the film. Mamta said these things in an interview given to a YouTube channel called Editorial.
“When I found out I was sick, I didn’t tell anyone. But when the movie Passenger came out, people started feeling sick when they saw me. The curiosity of people here to know what made me like this was terrible.
It was the mind that wanted to know somehow. I felt compelled to say this because of people’s attitudes, which I thought was unnecessary.
When I wondered how long I would keep all this inside, I decided to open up about it through a women’s magazine. After that I removed my wig in the song of the movie Anwar. Amal and Prithvi were totally amazed.
This hair style is not seen now. It looks good and I was asked what if I use it in the song. They also helped me. That’s how I came up with a new look in that song,” said Mamta.
