Puducherry: MLA Lakshmikandan said that an expert committee should be formed to examine private hospitals.
Speaking during the recess of the assembly, he said:
There are private hospitals in rural areas. In which people go for treatment. Hospital managements are giving wrong treatment and playing with human lives.
Court has imposed fine in this regard. There has been an increase in public protests against private hospitals. Information about this is spreading on social media, making people uneasy.
Due to this, it is necessary to examine whether there are sufficient infrastructures and sufficient staff in private hospitals.
He said that many patients who were abandoned in private hospitals have come to the government hospital and been saved. Therefore, the government should form a medical team and inspect the private hospitals in person.
