Priyanka Chopra and her husband Nick Jonas have celebrated their first Diwali with their daughter Malti Mary. They are expecting a baby girl in January. The daughter has been named Malti Mary Chopra Jonas.
‘Celebrating Diwali with loved ones’ was the caption given to the pictures shared by Nick. The pictures have been shared with her daughter’s face hidden. It can be seen in the pictures that the three people have chosen Indian style clothes for the celebration. While Nick wore a white sharwani, Priyanka and her daughter chose lehengas. Fans have taken the pictures with great joy.
Malti was born on January 15 at a San Diego hospital in the US. The name Malti comes from Sanskrit and means fragrant flower or moonlight. Mary is derived from the Latin word ‘maris’ meaning star of the sea. Notably, Mary is also the French version of Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ. Malti is part of Priyanka’s mother Madhu Chopra’s name Madhumalti.
Priyanka and Nick got married in 2018. Both of them announced the birth of their baby through social media.
