Dindigul
A district level tennis ball cricket tournament for school students under 14 years of age was held at Om Shanti School Ground, Dindigul. A total of 13 school teams participated in this, including 4 teams in the women’s category and 9 teams in the men’s category. The matches were played on a knockout round basis. In this regard, the semi-final and final took place yesterday. Batting first in the men’s final, Dindigul Akshaya Om Shanti High School scored 32 runs in 4 overs. Then Dindigul Holycross Matric School team scored 31 runs in 4 overs and lost by 1 run.
Navamarathupatti Vivekananda School team stood 3rd. Similarly, in the women’s category, S.B.M. The school team won the champion trophy. Marambadi Little Flower School team stood 2nd. Later in the prize giving ceremony, District Tennis Bandu Cricket Association President Vanjinathan and Omshanthi School Principal Ramya presented trophies and certificates to the winning teams. The arrangements for the tournament were made by the administrators including District Tennis Ball Cricket Association Secretary Venkatesh.
