One more Welsh international in the ranks of Provence Rugby. The Pro D2 club has just announced the signing of George North, aged 31. The three-quarter center, who also plays as a winger, will arrive next summer from the Ospreys, a club from the city of Swansea. He has signed up for two years and will join Thomas Francis, another Welsh international in the team.

With Wales, George North won four Six Nations Tournaments and played in four World Cups. He has a total of 49 tries in 121 selections, the first obtained at the age of only 18 in 2010. “His presence should allow us to take a very important step in our progress,” says Denis Philipon, president of the club. The Aixois have had a solid start to the season in Pro D2 with seven victories in twelve matches. They currently occupy second place in the championship standings, just behind RC Vannes.
