The Ministry of Public health and Population highlighted the importance of this visit as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen health care provision, especially in the area of obstetric emergencies, a highly demanded sector. The rehabilitation of these infrastructures could make it possible to relieve congestion at the UPH and ensure optimal patient care, particularly in a context where the need for obstetric care is increasing significantly.
The Minister, Dr Duckenson Lorthe blema, has given clear instructions to DOSS to carry out a thorough assessment of the scene. A detailed report of this inspection will be submitted quickly,to make the necessary decisions regarding the rehabilitation of the premises and their rapid commissioning.

Health authorities are continuing their efforts to modernize hospital infrastructure, an essential lever for reducing maternal and infant mortality in the country.
