The Ecuadorian Institute of Social Security (IESS) implemented the modality of online shifts to provide service at their windows nationwide.
For the purpose ofavoid crowds and that long lines form at the IESS offices.
Among the procedures that can be requested or reserved with an appointment are: key resets, affiliate data update and employers, bank account registrationrequests for compensation payments, among others.

Steps to get online shifts at IESS
This system consists of generating a online shift and schedule it on the IESS website, which is www.iess.gob.ec.
In this way, in this portal you have to choose the procedure you want to carry out and once the process is finished there will be a code to email with which the request will be validated.
Furthermore, this process it doesn’t take more than a minute and the user can choose the time and date, and show up at the windows about 15 minutes before the scheduled time.
It is not necessary to present the printed shiftsince it will be reflected on the screens so that the user can approach the windows to complete their procedure.
