This Wednesday, the Civil Protection Directorate (PROCIVIL) announced through a statement that the Green Alert nationwide for Rain and Storms with emphasis on the Volcanic Mountain Range is no longer in effect.

“The General Directorate of Civil Protection, Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, LEAVES WITHOUT EFFECT the NATIONAL GREEN ALERT FOR RAINS AND STORMS WITH EMPHASIS ON THE VOLCANIC MOUNTAIN RANGE, issued on June 24, 2024,” PROCIVIL indicated.

This decision was made based on the latest impact forecasts issued by the Directorate of the Threat Observatory of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, as these do not present significant impacts on the national territory.

“Therefore, the general population is advised to pay attention to official information issued by the National Civil Protection System, which is constantly monitored, and to inform response institutions as soon as possible about any eventuality,” added PROCIVIL.
