/ The Futsal and Beach Football Committee of the Iraqi Football Federation held, on Thursday, its technical conference for organizing the Iraqi Professional Futsal League competition for the youth category, in the presence of the head of the committee, Ali Abdul Hussein, his deputy, Ziad Shamil, and representatives of the participating clubs.

The clubs were divided into two groups, one and two, in the capital, Baghdad, the Middle Euphrates Group, and the Southern Group.

The draw resulted in confrontations (Basra Oil and the Basra Municipality, and Al-Shabab Al-Basri with its counterpart, South Gas), and the matches of the first group for the capital, Baghdad, resulted in confrontations (the Air Force, Central Refineries, and the Air Defense with the police), and the second group (police vehicles with Nineveh and the Municipality of Baghdad versus water resources). In the Middle Euphrates group, Naft Al-Wasat meets its Eastern counterpart, while the Popular Mobilization Club is waiting.

The first and second place holders from the first and second groups qualify for the capital, Baghdad, and the first and second place holders for the southern group, with one team from the Middle Euphrates region qualifying for the final rounds.

It was agreed to select the best third team, in order to be among the teams qualifying for the final rounds, bringing the number to (8) clubs, and February 10, 2024 was set as the date for the start of the league.

For his part, the head of the Futsal and Beach Soccer Committee, Ali Abdel Hussein, said during a short speech at the technical conference to Agency, “Age groups are the basic foundation of the correct construction process, because all the teams and clubs in the world do not look at the results as much as they seek how to Building the young player in the age group league to reach the first team.”

Abdul Hussein added: “The important thing is not whether you win the league, but rather how to reach the goal, and the main goal is to establish a successful youth league. Competition remains a legitimate right for all participating teams, and through it we can uncover talented people to provide our league with a young generation that will be the mainstay of the first line.” In our clubs.
