The Basketball Federation announced today, Tuesday, the date for the draw for the Professional League for the new season 2024/2025, while revealing the date for the Perseverance Cup match that brings together the league champion, Al-Defaa Al-Jawiya, and the runner-up, Al-Karkh.
The head of the union, Hussein Al-Amaidi, said in a special statement to the (INA): “The draw for the Professional Basketball League for the current season 2024/2025 will be held at seven o’clock in the evening next Friday in the station hall in the Karrada area.”
He added: “The Federation also set the thirteenth of next September as the date for the Perseverance Cup match, which is usually the first activity of the Federation for the new season that precedes the start of the Professional League competitions, and which brings together the league champion and runner-up (Al-Difaa Al-Jawiya and Al-Karkh).”
Regarding the non-participation of our clubs in the Arab Championship hosted by the Egyptian capital, Al-Amaidi confirmed that “the Arab Football Federation sent a letter of participation to our Federation, while our clubs refused to participate in this championship due to lack of readiness and weak financial support.”
