Instituto scored a huge victory in Alta Córdoba by beating Defensa y Justicia 4-1, who had surprised at the start with a goal from Gabriel Alanís, but could not sustain the onslaught proposed by Diego Dabove’s team after that misstep.
In two minutes, goals by Facundo Suárez, with a great header, and Gregorio Rodríguez, with a run and a well-placed finish, turned the score around, which was stretched before the end of the first half with a goal by Gonzalo Requena, with a lucky knee that went over the visiting goalkeeper. Towards the end, Ignacio Russo, after a brilliant collective play, sealed the rout after Defensa y Justicia did all the spending and exposed themselves in the back, without achieving depth or many dangerous opportunities.
With the victory, Instituto climbed to fifth place and hopes to mix it up with the leaders. On the other hand, Defensa remains sunk in the last places, far from the campaigns it had been having in recent seasons.
