The internally displaced people of the English-speaking crisis, the Mbororos and the deaf and hard of hearing students were rewarded by Professor Pascal Nguihé Kanté and his team.

Indeed, a good number of young people internally displaced from the Anglophone crisis and members of the Mbororo minority were also awarded prizes during this Mifi School and Academic Excellence Day initiated by Professor Pascal Nguihé Kanté in 2016.

Another special sequence of the 9th edition of Jesam 2024 concerns the award ceremony to the deserving “Science and technology engineering seed competition”, now in its third edition. A total of eight hundred and eighty-six, i.e. 585 for secondary education and 305 for basic education, competed in the tests during the month of April. As a form of positive discrimination, the consideration of the gender approach encouraging female candidates was noted by Samuel Nguedia, principal of the Tougang II technical high school and head of the Mifi Youth Community Center. Valentin Kamdem, former regional mathematics inspector and study manager in the Prime Minister’s services, Auguste Teguem, departmental delegate of the Ministry of Basic Education in Mifi and Professor Lélé, vice dean of the Faculty of Sciences of University of Dschang have invested in the selection of graduates with complete objectivity. The provision of an incentive bonus of fifty thousand (50,000) FCFA per person to the best primary and secondary teachers, the provision of laptop computers to the best teachers, the consideration of students from the different faculties of the University of Dschang, the consideration of doctoral students from all regions of Cameroon, the delivery of seven sewing machines to Mbororo nationals of the Mifi department, the delivery of twenty modern sewing machines to the technical and professional establishments of the Mifi department make also part of the innovations which show the sense of creativity of the actors and initiators of Jesam.
