Professor who became a beggar to kill his wife: Shocking incident!

An assistant professor in Chennai disguised as a beggar and killed his wife has caused a great shock.

Kumaraswamy (56) is working as an assistant professor in the history department at Nandanam Arts College for Boys. His wife K. Jayavani is working in a private engineering college. The couple has two sons and a daughter. They got married 12 years ago and lived in Panchayat Road in Egmore.

Last Thursday around 7 pm Jayavani got off the bus at the Egmore bus stand and was walking home when a beggar ran towards her and tried to stab her in the face with a blade. Jayarani covered her face and ran away from the spot.

Before the neighbors came running, Kumaraswamy chased him and slashed him several times with the blade. But Jayarani escaped without being caught. Later, the people there rescued Jayavani and admitted her to a nearby private hospital for treatment. Based on his complaint, the Egmore police registered a case and arrested Kumaraswamy.

During the investigation, Kumaraswamy confessed to the police that his wife was having an affair with a colleague and had planned to kill her.

Jayavani was a student when she got married. Kumaraswamy, who was a family friend of his father, took care of his educational expenses. He began to doubt his fidelity as his wife was too young. In this regard, a case was registered against Kumaraswamy under Sections of Attempt to Murder and Harassment of Women Act.
