Days of Belarusian Culture will be held in Baku from April 1st to April 3rd, Day.Az reports.
On April 1 at 19.00 at the Nizami Cinema Center the opening of the Days of Belarusian Cinema will take place – guests will be presented with a new film by Alexander Efremov “Waiting List”, which tells about the fate of cardiologists, their complex profession, difficult relationships in the profession and family.
On April 2 at 15.00, an exhibition of the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus entitled “Belarus through the eyes of artists” will open at the Azerbaijan National Museum of Art. On the same day at 16:00 at the Nizami Cinema Center there will be a screening of Yevgeny Setko’s documentary film “Perezvon”, which tells about the burned Belarusian villages during the Great Patriotic War.
At 18:00, an exhibition of banners, a demonstration of the works of folk craftsmen and master classes will open in the foyer of the Heydar Aliyev Palace. And at 19:00 in the hall of the Heydar Aliyev Palace the opening ceremony of the Days of Culture of Belarus will take place. A concert program will be presented with the participation of the State Academic Dance Ensemble of Belarus under the direction of People’s Artist Valentin Dudkevich, Honored Artist of Belarus Victoria Aleshko, opera soloists of the Bolshoi Theater of Belarus Daria Gorozhanko and Denis Yantsevich, winner of the first prize of the XXXII International Pop Song Performers Competition “Vitebsk” Samir Elchiev, winner of the Francis Skaryna medal Gunesh Abasova, Belarusian State Ensemble “Pesnyary”, cymbalists.
At the same time, at 19:00, the Nizami Cinema Center will show Ivan Pavlov’s feature film “Undermining” – a drama about the feat of volunteers in Belarus liberated from the Nazis.
On April 3 at 15:00, the Azerbaijan National Library named after M.F. Akhundzade will host a round table with the participation of cultural figures from Azerbaijan and Belarus. On the same day at 19.00 at the Nizami Cinema Center there will be a screening of Igor Byshnev’s documentary film “The Country of the Saved Giant”, which tells about the long, painstaking work to revive the species of the Belarusian bison.
