Jakarta: The Indonesian government is reportedly preparing to pass a law banning premarital sex. This was reported by the local media. It is reported that the law will be made to prohibit sexual relations with a person who is not a husband or wife and violators of the law will be punished with imprisonment of up to one year for the crime of adultery. The bill will be tabled in Parliament in the coming days.
