Manama: Plan to build 3000 new housing units in Ramli. The decision was made in the context of the government allocating six more sites here for the project. Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa announced this at the Government Executive Committee meeting held yesterday. The meeting discussed the efficiency in meeting the housing needs of the country. The land was allocated for housing in Ramli as part of a plan to develop government-owned land.

The housing project is being implemented here with the cooperation of the private sector under the auspices of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning. Minister Amna Al Rumaihi said that there is a facility to build 3000 housing units here. The minister visited the project area yesterday along with officials of the ministry and bank representatives. The minister said that the detailed design of 300 units will be prepared and the construction will start soon. Ramli housing project is implemented on 100 hectares of land. Out of 4261 housing units to be constructed here, 1261 units have been given to the deserving people.
