Project of metro line over flyover

by time news

Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (PMRCL) is planning to retain the Telmiya Square flyover of J.P. Nagar while the third phase of the Bengaluru-Metro is underway.

PMRCL officials said:

The state government has sent a request to the central government regarding the third phase of metro project in Bangalore. JP Nagar, fourth stage, to Kempapura, a distance of 32.15 km, from Hosahalli, through Magadi Road, Kadabagere, a distance of 12.5 km.

After the approval of the central government, the works costing 16 thousand 300 crore rupees will start. Civil works plan is ready.

Telmiya Square flyover is coming up on JP Nagar – Kempapura route. Instead of demolishing the flyover, it is planned to build a corridor over it.

The flyover was constructed four years ago at a cost of Rs 26 crore by the Bengaluru Municipal Corporation. Demolishing this will be a waste of money.

In order to avoid this, PMRCL is planning to construct a metro rail line on the flyover.

This is what he said.
