KYIV. April 22. UNN. A temporary ceasefire and a prolongation of the war will benefit Russia. The Institute for the Study of War writes about this in its daily analysis, reports UNN.

“A temporary ceasefire in Ukraine and a prolongation of the war will only benefit Russia, allowing it to restore its forces and reduce Western support for Ukraine. After restoring combat capability, Russia will use the occupied territories in Ukraine as a springboard for future offensive operations,” the analysis reads.

The Institute for the Study of War also notes that Russia continues to use information operations in the West as a weapon to prevent the provision of military aid to Ukraine.
It is noted that such efforts of Russia will only increase if it can create a strong line of defense with the help of contractors and conscripts, as a result of which the advancement of Ukraine will slow down significantly.
Also, the Institute reminds us of Prigozhin’s essay, which talks about the victory of Russia, or a temporary ceasefire in order to gain strength and win later. As noted, such a scenario with the prolongation of the conflict is beneficial for Russia.
