Salvadoran journalism is in mourning following the death of David Cruz, one of the heroes who lost their lives in the air tragedy that occurred in Pasaquina, La Unión.
In response, the President of the Republic, Nayib Bukele, expressed his condolences for the irreparable loss of the prominent journalist.
“David Cruz was a hero from his own trenches, I knew his work firsthand. How good it would be to have more people like him. An irreparable loss for his family and friends, but also for our country. Thank you for everything, David. May you be in the presence of God now,” Bukele said.
Cruz stood out as Head of Communications for the Security Cabinet and journalist for Noticiero El Salvador. He was also a colleague, friend, husband and father.
