In order to establish initiatives in this area of national development, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Salvadoran Tourism Institute (ISTU) established an alliance to position the country’s recreational parks as options for Salvadorans abroad.

“Now, our diaspora invests, returns and is proud to be Salvadoran. Tourism and economic growth are fundamental and thanks to the vision of President Bukele, we now have prosperous tourist destinations. His approach is strategic and he has promoted sustainable practices, elevating and conserving the best we have, our people. It is not surprising that after the change in security, the tourism sector is an engine for the country’s development,” said Foreign Minister Alexandra Hill.

This agreement was signed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Alexandra Hill, and the president of the ISTU, Eny Aguiñada, who highlighted the transformation of El Salvador, thanks to initiatives and public policies in the area of tourism and security.

“We came together to benefit a sector that is extremely important for our country, which contributes to development in different aspects. Recreational parks are nostalgic destinations. Now, the Salvadoran diaspora feels calm at home, thanks to the security policies implemented by this government”, added the ISTU president.
