Our second trip to beautiful Mani for the celebration of March 17th, from where it started The Greek Revolution of 1821 ended with very nice moments and experiences that we lived these days.
We started from Athens with destination Vasta Arcadia and specifically the historical monastery of Agia Theodora, the miracle of nature with the 17 trees on the roof of the monastery which symbolize the years of the Saint. Afterwards, we visited the beautiful Kalamata, which lived carnival rhythms. The next day we started to Pylos, the castle of Methoni and finally ended up in Gythio.
In the afternoon of the same day, we laid a wreath to the Hero of Mavromichalaia and then we danced dances from the Dodecanese among forty clubs from all over Greece, which framed the event.
On Sunday we visited the cave of Diros which is the largest cave in Europe and continued to the castle of Monemvasia. In the end we went to the monastery of Panagia Malevi in Arcadia at an altitude of 1000 meters and ended up at Astros Kynourias beach in Argolida.
We thank the Municipality of Eastern Mani for the invitation and hospitality, our dancers and our teacher for the dances they presented to us. I would like to conclude with a big thank you to the participants.
Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday!
