Armando Luis Angulo Paternina faces formal accusations from the Attorney General’s Office after allegedly writing and publishing dishonorable messages against Vice President Francia Elena Márquez Mina through her personal account on a social network.

According to the investigation, Angulo Paternina allegedly made offensive and discriminatory comments on the dates of May 9, September 12 and November 26, 2023.These messages, addressed to the vice president, attacked her personal integrity and violated her right not to be discriminated against on racial grounds.

At the time of the events, Angulo Paternina lived in Medellín, Antioquia. The prosecutor of the Specialized Directorate against Human Rights Violations filed the accusation for the crime of acts of discrimination, in accordance with Law 1826 of 2017which regulates the Abbreviated Special Criminal Procedure. Angulo Paternina did not accept the charges brought against her.
