Tegal District Attorney’s Office Intelligence Section Head Yusuf Luqita Danawihardja said the alleged abuse of authority in village financial management occurred in Lebaksiu District, Tegal in the 2022 and 2023 budgets.

The investigation of the case was based on a letter of order from the Head of the Tegal Regency District Attorney’s Office Number: Print-572/M.3.43/Fd.1/07/2024 dated July 23, 2024.

“In the investigation process, the prosecutor summoned, among others: the Acting Head of Lebakgowah Village, the Secretary of Lebakgowah Village, the Treasurer of Lebakgowah and also the Tegal Regency Inspectorate,” he said in a press release, Wednesday (24/7).

He said the temporary estimate was that the state loss was IDR 397,199,002 which came from the remaining 2022 budget and the remaining 2023 budget.

“The state loss came from the LHP or audit report carried out by the Tegal Regency Inspectorate Number: 700.1.2.2/03/0552 dated April 19, 2024,” he said.

Yusuf said that with the existence of the LHP, the state was given a period of 60 days from the issuance of the LHP.

“Up to the specified deadline, no state loss refunds have been received, so the Tegal District Attorney’s Office will follow up on the findings at the investigation stage,” he said.
