This Sunday afternoon, the Attorney General’s Office arranged a team of investigators to find the person responsible for the murder of citizen observer Jaime Vásquez, who died in the morning in the city of Cúcuta.
The incident occurred around 9 in the morning in the La Riviera neighborhood of the northern Santander capital, when men traveling on a motorcycle shot Vásquez with a firearm, also leaving Luis Sarmiento, who was with him, wounded.
Given this, the prosecuting body, led by Luz Adriana Camargo, indicated that urgent actions have already been taken to examine the body, and in addition to this, a team from the Homicide Brigade was appointed to find the whereabouts of those responsible.

This group of agents will be accompanied by a prosecutor delegate from the Special Investigation Unit (UEI), in charge of clarifying the attacks against peace signatories and social leaders, as is the case of Vásquez, who was a well-known communicator in Cúcuta and its surroundings. .
On this topic, the Government of Norte de Santander announced a few hours ago that they are offering 50 million pesos for the person who helps solve this crime and informs the hitmen of the man who, precisely, at the beginning of this month, spoke through Facebook of alleged acts of corruption in the municipality of Pamplona.
