Although at first the legitimate defense of the person involved was used to repel an attempted assault, involving two individuals with their faces uncovered, in their house in the Esperanza neighborhood, the Rengo Prosecutor’s Office gave another version.

This, since Prosecutor Claudio Riobó explained that, in reality, those involved came to the house to try to collect a drug debt owed by the son of the owner of the house.who repelled them with a firearm, killing one of them.

The prosecutor told MegaNoticias that “two Dominican nationals had entered this house with the aim of committing a robbery,” but “The modus operandi of these two Dominican subjects was to collect a drug debt from the son of the owner of the house.”

“In this context, there was a scuffle and it was the owner of the house who, seeing this situation, grabbed his shotgun and fired the shot,” The Rengo prosecutor added that the detention of the second Dominican subject and the owner of the property was extended until this Saturday, in order to determine whether we are dealing with legitimate defense.
