ProSiebenSat.1 and RTL: private television in the streaming age

WWe stream, therefore we are – the two large private television groups ProSiebenSat.1 and RTL want to put their energy into the development of their digital platforms even more than before. RTL+ and Joyn are the names of the opponents. At the same time, ARD and ZDF, as public service providers, have already announced that they will massively transfer formats to their media libraries or develop them exclusively for non-linear channels in order to become more attractive, especially for younger viewers. At the same time, both public and private providers are engaged in a dramatic battle for attention with streaming platforms such as Netflix, Disney and Amazon Prime Video.
