On July 25, Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov met with a delegation led by the co-chairman of the Azerbaijani-Serbian intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation, Serbian Minister of Culture Nikola Selakovic.

As reported to Day.Az by the Cabinet of Ministers, satisfaction was expressed at the meeting with the development of Azerbaijani-Serbian friendship and strategic partnership ties in various fields. Active cooperation in trade, economic, investment, oil and gas, and industrial spheres was emphasized.

The importance of the practical implementation of the agreements reached between the heads of state was noted in terms of further expansion of mutually beneficial partnership. The parties touched upon the significance of the 8th meeting of the intergovernmental commission held in Baku.

The meeting also discussed prospects for increasing trade turnover and mutual investment, developing cooperation in the transport and transit sector, renewable energy, humanitarian and other areas.
