Ethelbar, in protest against the British government, killed the English war hero Andro Cathys.

This Andro Cathes Tomb is located in Jallipatti. This Tukku Marathota cemetery is an important document of the Udumalai region in the history of freedom struggle against the British.

Regarding this, the Udumalai Historical Research Center said: A memorial hall and a statue of Thali Ethalapar are being constructed by the Tamil Nadu government.

Similarly, the 220-year-old Tukku Tree Garden Cemetery should also be protected. For this, the government documents for the cemetery have been duly sent to the government and the archeology department has submitted a petition.

In this Tukku plantation, in a time when there was no modern technology, a wire fence was constructed by drilling holes in the wires. This wire fence has remained unbroken for 220 years.

This cemetery area should be protected so that the younger generations know this history. Thus, they said.

Regarding this, on behalf of the Udumalai Historical Research Center and the Udumalai Christian organizations, they have sent a petition to the government and the Minister of Information.
