With the objective of reducing vulnerability in the winter season, the Ministry of Public Works (MOP) carried out protection works on Agua Caliente street, in Soyapango.
The works consist of cleaning the slope and drainage, profiling the slope, drilling for anchors, placement of electro-metallic mesh and high-pressure concrete placement, in order to stabilize both the interior and the surface of the slope and reduce the risk of landslides in the area.
“Among the activities we carry out is the profiling of slopes, the construction of a wall and the lining of shotcrete,” the Public Works Portfolio mentioned on its Twitter account.
The Minister of Public Works, Romeo Rodríguez, explained that the works consist of the stabilization of the slopes, to guarantee that this coming winter the area does not present major effects, which put the lives of those who drive on this street at risk.
