jpnn.comJAKARTA – A mass of protesters from various circles closed the toll road in front of the Indonesian House of Representatives Building, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday (22/4).

According to JPNN.com monitoring, the masses, the majority of whom were wearing black, occupied the toll road.

As a result, a number of cars and TransJakarta buses traveling on the toll road stopped and could not continue their journey.

Cars and police officers were seen still trying to disperse the crowd that had blocked the road.

A number of police walked along the toll road to chase away the protesters who were still on the road one by one.

Previously, thousands of students demonstrated in front of the Pancasila Gate, MPR/DPR/DPD RI Complex, Jalan Gelora, Jakarta, Thursday (22/8) with one of the demands being to reject the ratification of the Pilkada Bill (RUU).

The masses asked the police to summon Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives Sufmi Dasco Ahmad so that he would listen to the aspirations of thousands of students.

“Mr. Police, if you don’t want any trouble, call Sufmi Dasco. Call Sufmi Dasco,” challenged a student in his speech.
